HIGHLAND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION
SPECIAL PUBLIC MEETING MINUTES
WEDNESDAY, MAY 23, 2007

The Highland Redevelopment Commission (“Commission”) met in a Special Public Meeting on May 23, 2007 at 6:00 PM at the Council Chambers within the Municipal Building at 3333 Ridge Road, Highland, Indiana. Redevelopment Commission President Adam Gawlikowski called the meeting to order. The Special Public Meeting followed an Open House on the Comprehensive Plan for the Redevelopment Area 2006-2007, which was held from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM within the Council Chambers.

ROLL CALL:
Present on roll call included Redevelopment Commissioners James Kessler, Adam Gawlikowski, Brice Johnson, Rich Garza, and Dominic Noce. Also in attendance was
Economic Development Commissioner George VandeWerken. Others in attendance for part of the meeting included Town Manager Rich Underkofler and Council Vice President Joseph Wszolek. Taking minutes for the meeting was Redevelopment Director Cecile Petro.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS AND GENERAL ORDERS: None

NEW BUSINESS:
Commissioner Gawlikowski welcomed those in attendance and introduced members of the Commission, Economic Development Commission and Town Council that were
present. Then he introduced Director Petro who provided a power point presentation on the results of the Comprehensive Plan for the Redevelopment Area for 2006-2007.

BUSINESS FROM THE COMMISSIONERS: None

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
Mrs. Helen Williams 8012 Kennedy Ave. Highland, IN
Mrs. Williams requested information on the location of the Plan. The Director answered her question.

NEXT MEETING: The next public meeting will take place on June 13, 2007, and the next study session is scheduled for June 27, 2007. There will also be a study session before and after the June 13th public meeting.

ADJOURNMENT: After a brief recess, the meeting was adjourned at 7:15 PM.
Commissioner Johnson made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Commissioner Noce seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 ayes, 0 nays and 1 absent.
