THE ARTISTS

Linda Eyermann is inspired by subject matter that creates tension between the visually serene and emotionally turbulent. In this body of work, she explores her love/hate relationship with flying. Eyermann received her BA in Fine Art from Indiana University, Northwest campus and is currently Director of Education at South Shore Arts and the Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra. Judith Mayer's current work features nostalgic candies and foodstuffs. The little, sweet treasures are painted larger than life. Way larger than life. They are treated like logos or brands, which is how they are marketed--more for their packaging than their taste. Judith is a graphic designer by day. She received a BFA in Graphic Design and Photography from Ball State University and is currently serving as Vice President of Marketing for South Shore Arts. Above: Starlight (detail), Oil on canvas.

Melissa Washburn's current work, which focuses on themes of home, family, and motherhood, often through images of nests and birds, is created using acrylic paint, charcoal, and collage. Melissa is a graphic designer and mixed media artist. She holds a BFA in painting and printmaking from Binghamton University (SUNY) and an MA in Arts Administration from IU Bloomington.
